WSM Craft gave this lethargic North Asheville exterior an exultant makeover with a timber framed porch and porte cochere addition in conjunction with a complete replacement of all siding and roofing materials and restoration of the original cabin shutters. The result is a sophisticated lodge, nestled seamlessly amidst exquisite landscaping. The existing stonework is matched on the exterior of the house, and dissolves into stone retaining walls, stairs, bridges, and drainage ways. The capstone is the custom fabricated front door, which incorporates an antique elevator door from the homeowner’s extensive art collection.
